World News and Views :: Projects Uhde Supplies Skid-mounted Chlor-alkali Plant in Germany3:05 AM MDT | March 18, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Uhde has been awarded a contract to build a membrane cell process chlor-alkali plant for Leuna-Harze (Leuna, Germany). This will be Uhde's first ever skid-mounted chlor-alkali electrolysis plant, a concept developed in co-operation with AkzoNobel, Uhdenora and Uhde. The concept improves the economic viability of small-scale chlor-alkali plants. Leuna-Harze, one of Europe's leading epoxy resins producers, is building a 15,000-m.t./year chlor-alkali plant at Leuna for completion in 2012.
