UOP technology selected for isobutylene project in China

Honeywell says that its UOP subsidiary has been selected to provide technology for the production of isobutylene in China. Panjin Heyun New Material Co. (Panjin, China) will use the UOP C4 Oleflex process to produce isobutylene from isobutane as well as the UOP Butamer process, which converts normal butane to isobutane, enabling the Oleflex process to maximize feedstock utilization. The new unit, which is expected to start up in 2014, will process approximately 400,000 m.t./year of isobutane feedstock at Panjin Heyun's facility. UOP will provide...
