World News and Views :: Projects UOP technology selected for MTO project in China7:48 PM MST | November 8, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, has confirmed that Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemicals (Linyi, China) has selected its methanol-to-olefins (MTO) technology, which converts methanol from coal into petrochemicals, for its new facility in Tancheng at Linyi. Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemicals will use UOP’s MTO process, which combines the UOP/hydro MTO process and the Total Petrochemicals/UOP olefin cracking process to convert methanol from gasified coal into ethylene and propylene.
