World News and Views :: Projects Toyo-Thai Awarded EPC Contract for Bisphenol A Plant1:54 PM MDT | June 30, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Toyo-Thai Corp. says it has been awarded a lump-sum engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by PTT Phenol Co. for a previously announced 150,000-m.t./year bisphenol A (BPA) plant at Map Ta Phut, Thailand (CW, Dec. 13, 2006, p. 25). The plant will use Mitsubishi Chemical technology and be completed in the third quarter of 2010. PTT Phenol is owned 40% by energy company PTT (Bangkok), 30% by PTT Chemical (Bangkok), and 30% by Aromatics Thailand.
