Topsøe Awarded Contracts in Pakistan and Russia

Haldor Topsøe says it has been awarded an engineering package by Engro Chemical Pakistan (Karachi) for a 2,200-m.t./day ammonia plant at Daharki, Pakistan. Topsøe will supply license, engineering design, and catalysts for the plant and will collaborate with Snamprogetti on the project. Separately, Topsøe recently agreed to supply technology to JSC Shchekinoazot (Shchekino, Russia) for a 450,000-m.t./year methanol plant at Shchekino. The plant is due to start up by the end of 2009 and will increase JSC’s methanol capacity to 600,000...
