Ticona Shortlists New Sites for Move from Kelsterbach

Ticona, the engineering plastics subsidiary of Celanese, says it has short-listed two sites for a previously announced relocation of its manufacturing operations at Kelsterbach, Germany. They are Wiesbaden and the Hoechst Industrial Park, both in the Rhine-Main area of Germany. Ticona says it will announce its final site selection during the second quarter. The move follows an agreement last November with Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, to move Ticona’s assets from Kelsterbach and allow Fraport to build a fourth runway, which would have ended...
