Ten Cate and BASF to develop automotive thermoplastic composites

Ten Cate and BASF say they have agreed to cooperate on the development, production, and commercialization of thermoplastic composite materials suitable for high-volume vehicle production. The main aim of the partnership is to meet growing demand for composite materials from the automotive industry, and to provide it with custom-engineered solutions for high-performance composite structures that will enable further reductions in automobile weight and carbon dioxide emissions.
