World News and Views :: Projects Teijin Begins Operation of Carbon Fiber Production Line in Germany11:11 PM MDT | October 21, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Toho Tenax (Tokyo), a Teijin subsidiary says its Toho Tenax Europe (Wuppertal, Germany) affiliate has begun full-fledged operation of its fourth carbon fiber production line at the plant in the Oberbruch industrial park in Heinsberg, Germany this month. The 1,700 m.t./year production line was completed in August 2009, but as a result of declining demand for carbon fiber due to the economic downturn, the line's scheduled startup was postponed as part of adjustments to Toho Tenax’s global production in Germany, Japan, and the U.S. With demand increasing this...
