World News and Views :: Projects Tecnimont Awarded Large Fertilizer Contract in Egypt9:15 AM MDT | October 31, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Tecnimont has been awarded a $540-million lump sum, turnkey engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract by Egyptian Chemical & Fertilizers Industries Co. (Kima) for the supply of a new fertilizers complex within the existing industrial area in Aswan, upper Egypt. Completion scheduled by the end of July 2014. The complex will comprise units designed to produce 1,200-m.t./day ammonia, using KBR’s technology, and 1,575-m.t./day urea, based on technology supplied by Tecnimont’s sister company Stamicarbon...
