World News and Views :: Projects Taiwan's CPDC Plans Large Phenol-Acetone Complex in China3:36 AM MST | November 30, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz China Petrochemical Development Corp. (CPDC; Taipei), a leading producer of caprolactam, has said in a filing to the Taiwanese Stock Exchange that it plans to invest NT$30 billion ($987 million) to build a phenol-acetone plant in Jiangsu Province, China. The investment would result in vertical integration to caprolactam , the company says. CPDC says its board of directors has already approved the investment plan and the company will seek approvals from Taiwanese and Chinese authorities to go ahead with the project.
