Sumitomo Chemical and Saudi Aramco are negotiating a second phase of their giant PetroRabigh petrochemical joint venture, currently under construction at Rabigh, Saudi Arabia (CW, May 2, p. 15). “We are discussing the product mix and will likely make a decision on the project this year,” Sumitomo Chemical chairman Hiromasa Yonekura told CW last week at the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference in Taipei.
