Süd-Chemie Secures Subsidy for Germany's Largest Cellulosic Ethanol Plant

Süd-Chemie says it will build Germany´s largest plant for the production of biofuels from straw and that it will build it with subsidies from the Bavarian State Government, and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project will cost €28 million ($36 million) of which the company will spend €16 million on the plant, and a further €2 million on development costs.
