Solvay opens PEEK, PAEK compounding plant in China

Solvay has began production of poly(ether ether ketone) and poly(aryl ether ketone) compounds at its Changshu, China, production site, the company announced today. Solvay announced the opening of its Changshu site, an investment of €21 million ($28.1 million), in July 2012. The plant was initially producing polyphthalamide, polyacrylamide (PARA), and modified PARA compounds.
