World News and Views :: Projects Solvay Reorganizes Fluorohemicals Unit...2:44 PM MST | November 7, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Solvay says it is reorganizing its fluorochemicals business to focus on high value-added specialties while scaling back its participation in refrigerant gases. The company will scale back its operations at Hannover, Bad Wimpfen, and Frankfurt Germany; Porto Marghera, Italy; and Tarragona, Spain. Solvay says it is considering “all feasible solutions” for the 730 employees currently working at the sites but that it expects to cut about 250 jobs.
