Sinopec Engineering awarded large contract for Rapid project

Sinopec Engineering has received a 4.26-billion ringgit ($1.33 billion) contract from Petronas subsidiary PRPC Refinery and Cracker covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for one package of the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) project at Pengerang, Johor State, Malaysia, whose total investment is likely to reach $16 billion. Sinopec Engineering will work with KNM Group’s process systems subsidiary, which will act as a subcontractor. The two companies presented a joint bid for the project.   Petronas...
