Signet Plans Solar Module Production in India

Signet Solar (Palo Alto, CA) has announced plans for a thin-film solar panel manufacturing line to be built in India. Signet is a designer, developer, and manufacturer of large-area, low-cost, thin-film silicon solar photovoltaic modules. The company did not disclose site location, timing, or financial details. The new line will have capacity of 60 megawatts, which the company plans to ramp up to 1 gigawatt over the next 10 years. The Indian production line will be Signet’s second PV line.
