World News and Views :: Projects Sibur and Sinopec Move Ahead with Nitrile Rubber JV in Russia12:07 AM MDT | April 30, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Sibur (Moscow) and Sinopec signed a cooperation agreement on April 28, which will form the basis for the creation of the previously announced joint venture for the production of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) at Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Sibur and Sinopec announced last October the possible formation of two jvs for the production of NBR, which would be based at Krasnoyarsk, and Shanghai. The Krasnoyarsk jv would take over the existing NBR assets of Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubbers Plant, a subsidiary of Sibur, and expand that plant’s capacity from 42,000 m.t./year...
