Sibur-Solvay JV Shortlists Contractors for Vinyls Plant

RusVinyl, a 50-50 joint venture between Sibur (Moscow) and SolVin (Brussels), has shortlisted contractors to build a previously announced €650-million ($954 million) chlor-alkali and polyvinyl chloride complex at Kstovo, Russia, Sibur CEO Dmitry Konov tells CW. SolVin is a 75-25 jv between Solvay and BASF. The RusVinyl complex will use Solvay technology. The shortlisted contractors are “those that normally work with Solvay,” Konov says.
