Shell Celebrates Opening of Singapore Petchems Complex

Shell today announced the completion of its Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex (SEPC) in Singapore, Shell's largest petrochemicals investment to date. "This project clearly demonstrates Shell's strategy to focus on growth markets and to integrate oil and chemicals manufacturing to gain efficiencies," said Peter Voser, Shell's CEO. Creating Shell's largest integrated site will bring considerable synergies in terms of feedstocks, operations and logistics, he says. Each of the new units started up as planned, the company says.
