World News and Views :: Projects Samsung Engineering Awarded $2.5-Billion Contract by Adnoc for Carbon Black and Delayed Coker Units12:13 PM MDT | July 5, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz The Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Co. (Adnoc) plans to build a carbon black and delayed coker facility at its Takreer refinery at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Adnoc has awarded Samsung Engineering (Seoul) a letter of award for the project with a value of $2.47 billion. The facilities will be designed to produce 40,000 m.t./year of carbon black and 30,000 bbl/day of crude oil. Samsung Engineering will provide project management services for the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning processes on a lump-sum turnkey basis.
