Safco to Build Big Urea Complex

Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co. (Safco) a joint venture in which Saudi Basic Industries (Sabic) owns 43% and the private sector the balance, has notified Tadawul, the Saudi Stock Exchange that it will build a large urea complex at the company's Jubail, Saudi Arabia site. The project, now in the approvals process, is instead of a previously announced steel plant, which would have been built by a joint venture between Safco and the steel maker Hadeed.
