Sabic to Take Stake in Saudi PBT Complex

Sabic says it has agreed to acquire a 35% stake in Osos Petrochemicals Co. (Riyadh), a company currently under formation. A final agreement is expected to be signed within two months. OSOS plans to build a 60,000-m.t./year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) complex at Yanbu. The facility will also include 50,000 m.t./year of butanediol; 3,500 m.t./year of tetrahydrofuran; and 85,000 m.t./year of malic anhydride...
