World News and Views :: Projects Sabic and Shell plan POSM, polyols projects; ponder petchem investments outside Saudi Arabia10:23 AM MST | November 12, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Sabic and Shell Chemicals have confirmed CW’s exclusive report that they plan to invest in propylene oxide-styrene monomer (POSM) and polyols plants in Saudi Arabia. The companies on Sunday agreed to expand their partnership through their existing, equally owned joint venture Saudi Petrochemical Co. (Sadaf; Jubail, Saudi Arabia). Sabic and Shell will conduct a feasibility study into the POSM and polyols projects before taking a final investment decision. Shell is expected to provide its technology for both plants.
