World News and Views :: Projects Round of Fresh Paint Investments in India10:09 AM MDT | March 18, 2008 | Kate Phillips Several paintmakers have invested in India in the last year via new expansions and entries into the market. The most recent activity includes Jotun Group’s opening of its first paints and coatings manufacturing facility at Pune, India. The $25-million facility will have capacity of 50 million liters/year of wet paint and 10,000 m.t./year of powder coatings. The plant will employ a workforce of 250. Jotun first announced plans to invest NK120 million ($19 million) to build two new powder coating and paint facilities at Pune, India in 2006...
