Rosneft acquires Sanors, paving way for petchems project to proceed

Rosneft (Moscow) said on Friday that it signed an agreement with Sanors Holding to acquire the Sanors group of companies. The agreement was signed by Rosneft chairman of the board Igor Sechin and Sanors Holding’s president, Igor Soglaev, in the presence of Nikolay Merkushkin, governor of the Samara region, in Russia, where Sanors is located. Rosneft, under the terms of the deal, is buying 100% of Sanors Holding and hopes to complete the transaction after obtaining approvals from antitrust authorities and other regulatory bodies by the third quarter of 2014...
