Reports: BASF and Petronas to start construction soon on aroma ingredient project in Malaysia

BASF-Petronas Chemicals,  a 60-40 joint venture, is expected to begin construction of a 1.63-billion ringgit ($496.2 million) integrated aroma ingredient plant at the end of April, according to various Malaysian news sources. The project, announced last year, will include downstream production of citronellol and L-menthol, which have applications in the personal care, food, and pharmaceutical segments, as reported by CW.
