World News and Views :: Projects Reliance to Go Ahead with Indian Olefins Complex12:02 PM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Reliance Industries says it will go ahead with previously announced plans to build a huge olefins complex at Jamnagar, India. The Reliance board approved the project, which will involve a total investment of $3 billion, on February 24. The Jamnagar complex will have overall olefins capacity of 2 million-m.t./year. It will use refinery off-gases and other refinery by-products as feedstock to produce ethylene, propylene, and downstream commodity and specialty chemicals, Reliance says.
