Reliance Delays Petchem Contract; Plans Semiconductor and Polysilicon Investments

Reliance Industries plans to postpone awarding contracts for the company’s previously announced olefins and derivatives complex at Jamnagar, India till August, from January. The delay means that planned completion of the complex has slipped from 2011, to 2012, CW has learned. The company “needs clarifications on incentives and regulations” surrounding India’s special economic zones (SEZ), one source tells CW.
