World News and Views :: Projects Rashtriya to Invest $719 Million in Ammonia-Urea Complex in India9:06 PM MDT | August 30, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (Mumbai), a leading producer of fertilizers in India, has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it plans to spend Rs40 billion ($719 million) in the next three years to expand urea capacity at its existing plant at Thal, near Mumbai. The company has begun the process of securing feedstock and obtaining environmental clearance for the project. The expansion includes the construction of a single train ammonia plant with capacity for 2,200 m.t./day and of a single stream urea facility designed to produce 3,850m.t./day...
