World News and Views :: Projects R&H and Reliance Plan Acrylic Acid Plant in India12:41 PM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Rohm and Haas (R&H) and Reliance Industries have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore construction of a 200,000-m.t./year acrylic acid and ester plant in Jamnagar, India. The unit has estimated capital costs of $250 million-$300 million. It is expected to startup before the end of 2009. The site will be linked to Reliance’s refinery and petrochemical complex in Jamnagar, which will provide propylene, the key raw material for making acrylic acid.
