Praxair Completes Ceramic Coatings Expansion

Praxair subsidiary Praxair Surface Technologies says it has doubled capacity at its ceramic coating facility at Indianapolis. Capacity and financial amounts were not disclosed. The ceramic coating is used to cover aircraft engine components for GE. “Using GE-licensed technology, Praxair Surface Technologies is now supplying increased volumes of electron beam-physical vapor deposited ceramic coatings, which provide state-of-the-art thermal barrier protection to critical engine components,” Praxair...
