Plans to Boost Capacity10:04 AM MDT | July 22, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (PotashCorp.) says it will invest about $1.6 billion to boost its total potash capacity by 2.7 million m.t./year by the end of 2012. Capacity will be increased through a debottlenecking project at Allan, SK and expansions in the scopes of previously announced projects at its Cory and Rocanville, SK plants. PotashCorp. also has a 1.2-million m.t./year potash expansion under way at Sussex, NB, which is due online in 2011, and it plans to bring 360,000 m.t./year of idled capacity back onstream at Patience Lake, SK later this year.
