World News and Views :: Projects Petroperu Eyeing Petchem Complex in Peru?12:08 PM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Petroperu, Peru’s state oil company, plans to invest $500 million to build a gas pipeline and $2.8 billion for a petrochemical complex at yet-to-be decided locations in Peru, according to a Reuters news story. The petchem complex will include production of ammonia, polyethylene, and urea, Reuters says. The first phase of the project will be a feasibility study expected to last six months, it says.
