Petronas awards more Rapid contracts, Toyo Engineering gets cracker

Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) has announced more contract awards for its $16 billion Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) project at Pengerang, Johor State, Malaysia. Total cost of the project, including power plants and utilities, is estimated at $27 billion. The news follows the recent award to Sinopec Engineering of a 4.26-billion ringgit ($1.33 billion) contract covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of the crude distillation, atmospheric residue desulfurization and hydrogen collection and distribution units...
