Petrokemya Signs LOI with Tecnicas Reunidas for an ABS Plant

The Arabian Petrochemical Co. (Petrokemya; Jubail; Saudi Arabia) ,an affiliate of Sabic, has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Tecnicas Reunidas (TR; Madrid) for the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of a new acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plant at its complex at Jubail. The total investment is expected to reach $561 million and the company is planning to finance it from its own resources.   The ABS project is expected to be mechanically completed during the fourth quarter of 2014.
