World News and Views :: Projects PetroChina Selects Davy-Dow Technology for China Plant1:21 PM MST | December 14, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Davy Process Technology and Dow Technology Licensing, a Dow Chemical subsidiary, say that their LP Oxo Technology has been selected by PetroChina for an oxo-alcohols plant at Chengdu, China. The plant “will include the largest custom-designed, single-line, low-pressure hydroformulation unit built anywhere in the world,” with capacity for 338,000 m.t./year of normal- and iso-butyraldehydes, Davy says. The unit will supply an 81,800-m.t./year, 2-ethylhexanol plant, as well as a unit with capacity for 211,900 m.t./year of n-butanol and 30,800 m.t./year...
