World News and Views :: Projects Petkim Teams Up with NPC for Petchem Complex in Iran9:40 AM MDT | April 24, 2009 Petkim (Izmir, Turkey) says it has signed an agreement with National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran) for a petrochemical and plastics joint venture in Iran. The jv will be a 50-50 partnership, Petkim said in a statement to the Turkish stock exchange earlier this month. The proposed plant would have capacity for 1.65 million m.t./year of methanol and 300,000 m.t./year of polyethylene. Further details were not disclosed.
