PTT Global Chemical to Invest $11 Billion by 2020

PTT Global Chemical (Bangkok), Thailand's largest integrated petrochemical and refining company, plans to invest $11 billion by 2020 in various projects, say press reports. The projects will include a $3-billion investment to build a new olefins cracker with a production capacity of 1 million m.t./year, for which the company is currently evaluating the possible location. The $11-billion investment will also include projects to produce green products and high-volume specialties, which are expected to account for about 30%-40% of the company's total sales in...
