World News and Views :: Projects PTT Asahi Chemical Resumes Construction of Acrylonitrile and MMA Plants in Map Ta Phut10:25 PM MDT | September 22, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Asahi Kasei Chemicals (AKC), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, says that PTT Asahi Chemical (Bangkok), a joint venture between AKC, PTT (Bangkok), and Marubeni has resumed construction of its previously announced acrylonitrile (AN) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) plants at the Map Ta Phut industrial estate in Rayong province, Thailand, following the cancellation of the suspension order by a Thailand court. The 200,000-m.t./year AN plant and the 70,000-m.t./year MMA plant, which were originally expected to start up by the end of 2010, are now scheduled to begin operation...
