World News and Views :: Projects PPG’s Water-Based Coatings Facility in China Completes First Phase of Expansion4:57 AM MDT | May 24, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh PPG Industries says its PPG Coatings (Tianjin) subsidiary has completed the first phase of expansion of its water-based coatings facility at Tianjin, China. Following the completion of the first phase of expansion, the capacity of water-based automotive and industrial coatings has reached 4,000 m.t./year. The capacity is expected to increase to about 10,000 m.t./year when the second phase of the project is completed. “The expansion is PPG’s response to the increasing demand for eco-friendly waterborne products and technologies in the local market...
