PKN Orlen builds on-purpose propylene plant in Poland

PKN Orlen, Poland’s largest petrochemicals player, today announced that it will built an on-purpose propylene production facility at its Plock manufacturing complex. The company awarded the license and engineering design contract to CB&I. The unit will use CB&I's olefins conversion technology to produce 100,000 m.t./year of polymer grade propylene to meet internal needs. Feedstock for the unit will be sourced from PKN's facilities at the site. The company currently has capacity to produce 700,000 m.t./year of ethylene and 485,000 m.t./year of...
