World News and Views :: Projects Novapex Proceeds with IPA Plant in France11:29 AM MDT | July 29, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Novapex, a Novacap Group (Lyon, France) subsidiary, says it will proceed with previously announced plans to build a 40,000-m.t./year isopropyl alcohol (IPA) plant at Roussillon, France (CW, Nov. 7, 2007, p. 15). The plant will start up at the end of 2009 and supply the merchant market, says managing director Gilles Grenier. It will consume purified acetone produced at Novapex’s phenol plant at the site and use Mitsui Chemicals technology.
