NatureWorks awards Jacobs contract for Ingeo biopolymer plant in Southeast Asia

Jacobs Engineering says it has been selected to provide engineering services for biopolymers supplier NatureWorks’ (Minnetonka, MN) new Ingeo production plant in Southeast Asia. Ingeo is a biopolymer made from renewable plant materials. The contract value has not been disclosed. Earlier this year, NatureWorks expanded its Blair, NE, facility to increase Ingeo capacity to 150,000 m.t./year. Thailand is NatureWorks’ preferred location for its second production facility. Jacobs, under the terms of the contract, will provide front-end engineering design...
