World News and Views :: Projects Mossi & Ghisolfi Expands PET in Brazil10:04 AM MDT | July 22, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Mossi & Ghisolfi (M&G; Tortona, Italy) says it will expand capacity of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) at Ipojuca, Brazil, from 450,000 m.t./year, to 650,000 m.t./year. M&G expects the expansion to come onstream by October 2009. M&G started up the plant in early 2007. The Brazilian plant is and will continue to be the largest single reactor PET plant worldwide and will supply Brazil’s rapidly growing PET demand, M&G says.
