Moroccan Firm to Use Arkema PVC Technology

Arkema says it has licensed its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing technology to Société Nationale d’Électrolyse et de Pétrochimie (SNEP; Casablanca). SNEP is part of the YNNA group, owned by Morocco’s Chaabi family. The company will use the technology at a 150,000-m.t./year suspension-grade PVC plant at Mohammedia, near Casablanca, which is due onstream at the end of 2010.
