Momentive, UPC Technology begin construction of phenolic resins jv facility in China

Momentive Specialty Chemicals and specialty chemicals producer UPC Technology  (Taipei) have recently broken ground on the previously announced joint venture manufacturing facility at Zhenjiang, China, that will produce specialty phenolic resins. The 2 companies signed a memorandum of understanding for the jv in May 2011, and a definitive jv agreement last December. The jv, Momentive Union Specialty Chemicals (MUSC; Hong Kong), was incorporated in March 2012. The jv facility being constructed  is adjacent to an existing UPC Technology manufacturing...
