Momentive Starts Up JV Monomer Plant in China

Momentive Specialty Chemicals says it has started production at the previously announced vinyl ester monomer plant at Linfen, Shanxi province, China, which is a joint venture with the Shanxi Sanwei Group (Linfen). The new plant provides a second manufacturing location for vinyl ester monomer, increasing current monomer capacity by about 30%, and easing supply constraints for growing global demand, Momentive says.
