Momentive Performance Materials to expand two silicone production sites

Momentive Performance Materials announced today that it is expanding two production facilities in the US and Germany. The company says it is adding manufacturing capacity to its production sites at Texas City, TX and Leverkusen, Germany. At the Texas City site, the company is doubling thiocarboxylate functional silane production capacity to meet growing demand for low rolling resistance silica tires, the company says. The silicone production facility at Leverkusen, Germany will be expanded to manufacture specialty silicones and silanes to support growing demand...
