Mitsubishi Corp., Mitsubishi Gas Chemical confirm plans for petrochemical project in Trinidad and Tobago (Updated)

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) and Mitsubishi Corp. say that they are in the final stages of an agreement with the government of Trinidad and Tobago and local partner, Neal & Massy Holdings (Port of Spain), to start developing a previously reported project for the commercialization of natural gas based petrochemicals. Local news reports say that US firm ICCL is also a part of this project but MGC tells CW that ICCL is not involved.The first phase of the project at the Union Industrial Estate in La Brea is expected to involve an investment of $850 million and...
