Methanex Invests to Accelerate Chilean Natural Gas Exploration

Methanex says it will invest about $100 million during the next three years to accelerate Chilean state-owned oil and gas company ENAP’s (Santiago) gas exploration and development in the Southern Chilean Dorado Riquelme block. Methanex says it will have a 50% stake in the block, which already has pipeline and other infrastructure in place. Gas deliveries from the block are expected to start later this year, Methanex says.
